Tench and crucian carp were in the mood to feed at the Aspull venue for this first match. Last year's junior winner Liam Gaskell made a good start to his 2010 campaign with 3 crucians plus plenty of 'bits' all taken on maggot from peg 26. Jamie Mears put an impressive 12lb 11oz on the scales to record the first win in the new 'Intermediates' (over 15s) catagory.

1st place - Liam Gaskell 9-08
2nd place - Ryan Lea 3-14

1st - Jamie Mears 12-11
2nd - William Melly 4-14
